Teachers

I learned more about math in these few short weeks than in my entire life.
- Special Ed Teacher, Salem, OR

The most important thing that I carry with me each day after the workshop is the concept that there is more than one way to solve a problem.
- Grade 2-4 Teacher, Nashua, NH

The Math Learning Center is a wonderful organization to work with because they care about how their curriculum is working in your classroom.
- Grade 3 Teacher, Wenatchee, WA

Administrators

One of the strengths of MLC is the emphasis on using classroom teachers to teach other teachers. Our district has hosted MLC training over the years and all of the presenters have been very knowledgeable teachers who can refer to real students in real classrooms when they answer questions and concerns about pacing, content, organization, and assessments. Teachers learn about the program but deepen their content knowledge as well.
- Curriculum Coordinator Math/Science, Kodiak, AK

After taking the Opening Eyes class I have experienced a new self-confidence and realize that there is a mathematician within each of us.
- Principal, Camas, WA

We've had the pleasure of working with MLC for a number of years securing staff development of the highest quality. They were like my right hand throughout early implementation and continue to keep in contact, always willing to help in any way needed. It was MLC who gave us the idea of ‘growing our own’ staff development to support Bridges by creating a group of ‘K–2 Math Mentors’ to facilitate yearly in-service.
- Elementary Math Coordinator, Spokane, WA
