About Box It or Bag It
Box It or Bag It is a math program for K-2 teachers who want to surround children with a language-enriched, activity-centered learning environment. Students enjoy hands-on experiences with a variety of materials and are encouraged to learn from each other as well as the teacher.
In a Box It or Bag It classroom students develop their verbal and written communications skills and each child is respected for the diversity he or she brings to the process. Topics include sorting, measuring, graphing, addition, subtraction, money, and more. Themes incorporate a variety of other subjects such as language arts, science, health, music, art, and physical education.
Components
Box It or Bag It provides a year's worth of whole group and independent practice for students in grades K-2. In addition to engaging lessons the Teachers Resource Guides feature daily calendar activities to teach, reinforce, and extend skills. Practice and Enrichment Boxes are optional extensions of the program. More »
